Figure 3.4Inking of deep mastectomy margin. This is a modified radical mastectomy, with attached axillary contents. Prior to processing, the posterior margin is inked black. Note that the specimen has been washed and dried prior to cutting into it to avoid getting the ink on new cut surfaces.
